Monarch Infants Policy

All airlines reserve the right to request documented proof of age of any infant or child. Most airlines do not allow infants under seven days old to fly. Monarch cannot accept mothers on board within the first fourteen days after giving birth.

Do I need to reserve a seat for my infant?

Infants travel on their parents laps with the use of an extension seat belt. Parents carrying infants will be issued with seats that allow for an extra drop down oxygen mask for infants in the event of an emergency Car seats may be used for any child under 3 but older than 6 months. In all cases the child's parent/guardian must occupy the adjacent seat. The lower part of the shell must not extend far beyond the forward position of the passenger seat cushion. Minimum seat cushion dimensions: depth 17in, width 16in. The car seat must have a rigid frame, the 'bucket' type seats with the carrying handle are not permitted.

Will I pay for my infant to travel?

What if my child turns two on the trip; will I have to buy a ticket for the return flight?

What infant amenities are available on the aircraft I'll be flying (i.e. bassinets)?

Monarch Airlines has a diaper changing table in at least one lavatory on each aircraft. Monarch Airlines does not have any heating facilities on the aircraft, however their crew can provide hot water to help baby feeding bottles.

If it is present, clicking on it will tell you what infant services are available on that airplane. If you do not see it, infant amenities are not offered on that aircraft. Can I sit in the exit row with my infant?

Neither lap children nor infants in car seats are allowed in an exit row. In fact, all passengers in an exit row must be at least 16 years of age. In addition, infant seats are not allowed in the row directly in front of or directly behind an exit.
