What is Unaccompanied Minor Service?

Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be Unaccompanied Minors. Most airlines provide a service to assist these children from their point of departure to their final destination.

What age does my child have to be to qualify as an Unaccompanied Minor?

A child is considered an Unaccompanied Minor if he/she is 8 years of age but under 12 years and is not accompanied in the same cabin by a passenger who is 15 years of age or older.

Though not required, passengers ages 12-17 may be included in this service.

What are the fees associated with this service?

  • Flights between Manila and USA/Canada: USD $50 one way
  • Flights for all other international routes: USD $20 one way

How do I book this service?

Call Philippine Airlines Reservations. Details about the minor's meeting party at destination and other pertinent information must be arranged by the parent or guardian with PAL Reservations office or ticket office at the time of booking.
