Airline Overview

Founded in 2012, Spring Airlines Japan (IJ) is a low-cost carrier headquartered and based at Narita International Airport (NRT). It is 33 percent owned by Chinese budget carrier Spring Airlines (9C). The airline currently flies to Hiroshima Airport (HIJ), Saga Airport (HSG) and Takamatsu Airport (TAK) in addition to Narita. Its fleet of three Boeing 737-800 each has a two-cabin (Premium Economy Class and Economy Class) configuration. Passengers can pay extra for seats with extra legroom, those at the front of the plane and emergency exit row seats.
