Overview

British Airways' Airbus A350-1000 is the newest aircraft addition to their fleet (July 2019). The modern new aircraft is configured to transport 331 passengers in a three class layout featuring: 56 Club Suites in Club World, 56 recliner seats in World Traveller Plus and 219 standard seats in World Traveller.

The British Airways' Club Suite is the airlines first new Business Class seat in 13 years. The Club Suite has a door to enclose the suite for greater privacy and features a luxurious flat-bed seat. Also, the seat features a vast amount of storage space adjacent to the seat (in addition to the large overhead bins), a reading light, an 18.5 inch in-flight entertainment screen with a remote control, USB power ports and a UK power outlet. The suites are arranged in a 1-2-1 herringbone layout in two separate cabins. Note that the rear section has fewer suites creating a more private and exclusive feeling.

An expanded Club Kitchen is introduced on the Airbus A350-1000. The Club Kitchen features serve yourself beverages, snacks and sandwiches available at all times during flight. The Club Kitchen is located between the front and rear sections of Club World for exclusive use by Club World passengers.

Passengers flying in the World Traveller Plus Premium Economy cabin will notice new features such as a new contoured seat, a plush pillow, a warm quilt and an improved dining experience. The arrangement is 2-4-2.

Passengers flying in the World Traveller Economy cabin will notice a new contoured seat and a large touchscreen seat back entertainment monitor. The arrangement is 3-3-3.

I agree that this seat has extra legroom however. Due to the way its positioned during boarding people walked into the footspace & screen monitor. Additionally during the crew services they barge into the seat with the trolley when coming up and then when coming down go into the screen and your legs. Also due to PE passengers coming down to use toilets they have to walk in your legroom to get past. Its awful and would rather be in a regular isle seat

31C is not a good seat, given it's location it's prone to the passenger being hit by cabin crew and cabin trolly as it goes past. Although it's marked as an extra leg room seat, having legs stretched out is impractical as it gets in the way of passenger, cabin crew, and cabin trolly, food trolly, drinks trolly, should not be a seat which is charged for

I was in seat 2F and my wife in 2E, easy to talk with the divider open. Much improved Club World seat arrangement. No more climbing over other passengers to reach the aisle if at a window or centre seat. Comfortable seats, lots of storage space, flew LHR to YYZ and would pick this over the 787 until they upgrade that plane.

First flight on BA's new Club World Suite and it's certainly a HUGE improvement on the current, outdated product. The seat is comfortable, there are several storage areas, the TV screen is large, and the sliding door gives welcome privacy on a night flight. The middle seats are great for friends or couples travelling together and row 8 is far enough away from galley and toilets to provide peace and quiet. So a very welcome new business class product, but it's a shame that it's taken BA so long to come up with this as they are so far behind most of their competitors (and undoubtedly it will take several years to refurbish the fleet).
