Confirmed, the fact that the seat needs to stay in upward position is a problem because the seat just before does ! Remains only a very limited place for you... The food was good for an eco flight.

This is one of the most disgusting jets I've ever flown in. It's a disgrace how Avianca allows a jet from what looks like the 1980's fly this route from JFK to San Pedro Sula. The Business Class seats were a thing of absolute horror for the upgrade price of nearly $200. Seats with worn out leather. Drop down screens which didn't accommodate the seat I was in. Monitors with no HD screens and no selection to choose from. If you sit in 3K, you need to watch the monitor of the passenger in the next row. Utterly horrific for a 4+ hour flight. Paint peeling off the arm rest from sheer age. It was simply a worn out jet from TACA. How Avianca gets away with chartering a jet from this airline is a disgrace. The jet needs to be overhauled and modernized or put out of it's misery.

Although there is extra legroom in this seat, and it is next to a window, the lack of a right side armrest makes this seat uncomfortable. The protuding curvature of the emergency exit door prevents the passenger from obtaining a comfortable position
