HK Express Baggage

Carry-On Allowance: 1 Bag + 1 Personal Item

Each Guest is only allowed one Carry-on luggage with a maximum weight of 7kg (15.4 lbs.), and one additional personal item (such as a handbag, camera or digital device) onboard. BOTH items combined should not exceed the dimensions of 56 x 36 x 23cm (22" x 14" x 9"). Duty-free goods purchased after check-in will need to be within the size and weight limitations of the carry-on requirements stated above. Checked Baggage Allowance

Depending on how you purchase your ticket, baggage may or may not be included in the price of your ticket. Each checked baggage must not exceed 158cm/62" (L+W+H). Bags that are outside of these limits may incur an additional charge or may be required to be shipped by freight.

Special Baggage

For items that exceed our size/weight limitations as specified under Checked Baggage, an additional transportation and excess baggage fee may apply. Please see Fees for details of required charges. We cannot accept any single item that weighs more than 32kg . All Special Baggage is charged on a per-piece basis and maximum total dimension must not exceed 277cm/109” (L+W+H). Please note, each Guest can purchase only one oversized baggage allowance (20kg) on website. Additional oversized baggage allowance can be purchased during check-in at our airport counters.

Sports Equipment 

We Accept Sports equipment, including bicycles, diving equipment, golf equipment, skis, snowboards, surfboards and fishing rod will be considered as Special Baggage and the below items are also subject to the following additional restrictions.

Bicycle – must not be motorized and tires must be deflated.

Diving equipment – Empty Gas Cylinder

Any other sports equipment (not stated above) that within normal baggage’s size/weight limitation is accepted as normal baggage, please purchase normal baggage allowance.

Sports equipment should be encased in a protective box or bag to protect from any damage/impact that may occur during delivery and flight handling.

Guests with Medical Cases and Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC)

Guests with medical cases and Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) are allowed for carriage provided that it complies with relevant regulations such as safe transport of dangerous goods, and notify our call center 48 hours prior to the flight.

Guests should carry sufficient amount of fully-charged batteries to support the device; at least 1.5 times of total flight duration.

We allow the carriage of a Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) and other battery-operated non-oxygen generating respiratory assistive devices such as nebulizers and ventilators for use inside the cabin. (Please refer to Carry-on baggage for lithium batteries)

However, we do not allow carriage of partially or completely filled oxygen tanks or liquid oxygen on board any aircraft.

Guests travelling with a respiratory assistive device must present the POC and other respiratory assistive device and paperwork for inspection by a HK Express check-in agent.

Please note HK Express currently does not provide inflight medical oxygen. Please also refer to information in the Special Assistance Guests above.

Guests with a medical condition may be subject to medical screening by our Medical Personnel at Check-In if our staff have reasonable doubts on their ability to complete his/her flight journey with us without requiring extraordinary medical assistance throughout the course of the flight.
