What is Tunisair's (TU) Unaccompanied Minor Service?
Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be Unaccompanied Minors, and are accompanied from check in until the child's guardian in the destination claims them. The unaccompanied minor must be brought to the airport by a parent or responsible adult, and must travel with adequate proof of age and identity.
What age does my child have to be to qualify as an Unaccompanied Minor?
The service is mandatory for children younger than 12 traveling without an adult. Unaccompanied children between 1 and 4 years old are accompanied by a flight attendant for the entire trip. Children between 4 and 12 are assisted until they disembark the flight. Parents can request unaccompanied minor service for children between 12 to 16.
